Use case: Remote Environmental Monitoring with Notification System


OBJECTIVE:


Monitor and receive real-time notifications for critical levels of ORP (Oxidation-Reduction Potential) or pH values and water level in a remote location using the EM-ORP/PH/AI signal transmitter and EM-COM GSM communicator.

COMPONENTS:


1. EM-ORP/PH/AI Signal Transmitter:
    - Capable of receiving signals from ORP or pH sensors or analog sensors with 4-20mA or 0-10V output.
    - Transmits data using the Modbus-RTU protocol.

2. EM-COM GSM Communicator:
    - Maps Modbus registers of connected devices.
    - Sends notification SMS to a predefined phone number based on set triggers.

SCENARIO:


1. Installation:
  • Place the EM-ORP/PH/AI signal transmitter in the location where environmental monitoring is required. Connect it to the ORP or pH sensors and analog sensors as needed.
  • Install the EM-COM GSM communicator in a location with GSM network coverage and connect it to the EM-ORP/PH/AI signal transmitter.

2. Configuration:
  • Configure the EM-ORP/PH/AI signal transmitter to read data from the connected sensors, calibrate sensors.
  • Set up the EM-COM GSM communicator to map the Modbus registers of the EM-ORP/PH/AI signal transmitter.

3. Trigger Setup:
  • Define trigger levels for both ORP/pH and water level values in the EM-COM GSM communicator. For example, set a trigger to send an SMS notification if the ORP/pH value goes below a certain threshold or if the water level value indicates a critical condition.

4. Real-Time Monitoring:
  • The EM-ORP/PH/AI signal transmitter continuously monitors the sensor outputs in real-time.
  • When the predefined trigger levels are reached, the EM-COM GSM communicator detects the condition and initiates an SMS notification.

5. Notification:
• Users receive SMS notifications on their designated phone numbers, alerting them to the specific sensor readings that have exceeded the set thresholds.
